Let's make our community
Ready for the future!
I’ve been a resident of Woods Cross for 18 years. Mindy, I and our three children love
Woods Cross for it’s great people, quality of life and great community value. As your
council member I will listen to your concerns, be prepared to act on issues, collaborate
with others and represent our city!
I grew up in Salt Lake City in a family that ran a small manufacturing business out of their home which expanded to a warehouse on the south side of Rose Park. Growing up I was taught the value of hard work to creatively and efficiently solve problems.
I believe in self-reliance and education through life-long learning. I have attained a Bachelors of Science in Business and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah. I hold a certification as a Certified Government Accountant (CGFM) and I'm a candidate for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
I have experience in small business and state government. I've been appointed to various capacities in Utah state government during three administrations for 14 years advancing economic development and higher education.
I have volunteered four years to running a community young men sports program and am a past president of the Northern Utah Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants.
Communities stay strong and grow stronger when members of the community come together and share what matters most. Three years ago I was a top two finalist to fill a city council vacancy. I shared three areas with the city council that resonated with me and I think you'll also agree:
1) We value our proximity to major economic centers like Salt Lake City and Ogden, while embracing the slower pace of our community
2) We find great value in where we live - not only in the lower cost of living, but also in the effective and efficient way the city of Woods Cross delivers services
3) We celebrate our community together through local events sponsored by the city of Woods Cross
Quality of Life
Planning, Zoning and Growth
Budget and Accountability
Whether you help through providing input, volunteering your resources or time, or just researching city candidates, thank you!
